TYPE O NEGATIVE Members Name Side Project

TYPE O NEGATIVE members Johnny Kelly and Kenny Hickey along with DUST TO DUST's Rob Traynor have set SKYND as the name of their new project, the musical direction of which is being described as "SABBATH, SOUNDGARDEN, BEATLES, groove-oriented — nothing happy, all in minor." SKYND are tentatively scheduled to make their live debut this winter in the New York area. The band's official site, Skynd.com, is expected to be launched in the next month or so.

As previously reported, DUST TO DUST drummer Steve Tobin has been working with TYPE O NEGATIVE frontman Peter Steele in a separate side-project, the details of which have yet to be revealed. Hickey has contributed guitar solos to several songs on DUST TO DUST's recently released sophomore effort, "Sick", which is available through Traynor's own Psyclone Records.
